Haircut, Bumble & Bumble, & the stunning Zoe Saldana!

FIRST THING FIRST~

Guess who got a haircut?! So, I wanted to try something different so I went to this downtown salon that was supposed to be really modern and edgy. I think it was a good choice. The haircut was like $32 and I tipped $5 because I had no idea how much you were supposed to tip. Uh, they basically rinsed my hair and put this thing in it from Bumble and Bumble that was like God's skeet or something. It made it super soft and it felt amazing. I wished I would've asked her what it was, but I forgot. Anyways, the lady was super cool and we talked a bit. I really liked the way she cut it because she said that the other people cut it funny and it wasn't even, so she fixed it. And my parents liked it too, which like never happens. All in all, it was successful. Also, if you refer people to the salon, you get $20 off, which is freaking ridiculous. So hey! If you live in Valdosta and want to get a haircut, go to Sublime and tell them I referred you! :)

Bumble and Bumble: God's gift to hair.
The salon I went to exclusively used Bumble and Bumble stuff. I've always heard about them, but I never really used them or anything. Then, the lady used that God's skeet stuff in my hair and I realized that they were the bomb dot com. They also gave us a sample of the Tonic lotion and I'm pretty sure that was the amazing thing they used. It basically just detangles your hair and makes it easy to style. I don't really style my hair though and I've been experimenting on how to utilize this and make my hair look the best. I found out that if I just let my hair air dry and then comb and brush it, I'll be good for a while. After a while, my hair will start getting tangled and messy, I can just spray this on and comb it and it'll look good as new and my hair will be amazingly soft. It also smells like mint! :) You can pair this with styling lotion before you use anything heated to style your hair and you'll get a soft but manageable hold.

What I want!

Creme De Coco Shampoo 8oz - $21
Creme De Coco Conditioner 8oz - $22
Thickening Hairspray 8oz - $25
Bb.Shine 4oz - $35

The coco shampoo and conditioner smell like heaven in hair product form. I don't really use any products in my hair, but you should always have hairspray, just in case. This hairspray looks interesting and if I ever master using a blow dryer without totally failing, I will learn to incorporate that, but like before I dry my hair. Er, if that makes sense. The shine thing looks interesting even though it's the most expensive thing on there. I probably wouldn't actually get that, but if I had money to blow, it looks interesting.

You're so COMPLEX~

I got this magazine the other day. It's pretty spiff. It was founded by Marc Ecko in 2002 and offers insight on urban trends, fashion, and lifestyles. It has two different covers on both sides, one of a girl and one of a boy. The boy side usually talks about things dealing with lifestyle and the girl side usually talks about things to buy and such. I'll talk more about this in a later post because I'm super super lazy right now and this blog took me like two days to actually do because I keep on getting distracted. ._.

So, about the covers. How hot is Zoe Saldana? The Puerto Rican/Domincan mixed actress that is taking over science fiction films, playing Uhura in Star Trek and Neytiri in Avatar. She was also in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl as Anamaria. Ok, so I have totally not seen any of those movies, but she is a really stunning girl. I also love how in the interview she states that she doesn't let the media or men dictate who she will become. The things she does to be beautiful are done because she wants them. She doesn't live to please others and she is a powerful independent person. You go, Zoe. :)

Oh, and there's Eminem. I'm not real big on him.

Back to Zoe, she was born in New Jersey. Moved to the Dominican Republic when she was 10. Moved to New York when she was 17. While in the Dominican Republic, she attended a dance school and was basically really big in theatre and dance. Her first acting performance was on Law & Order in 1999 and her first movie was Center Stage in 2000, fitting as she played a ballet dancer. She is definitely becoming a big actress and she will not be going off the map anytime soon. She also has her own fashion line called Arasmaci, influenced by her Dominican heritage. This sexy, head-strong Hispanic actress is making her mark on the world and we will soon be seeing her everywhere.

Hope you enjoyed this post. It was really something different from what I've been posting. See, I'm trying to vary it time to time! :)
