This is a really pretty elegant dress that is fitted at the top and flares out at the bottom with a ruched bodice. There is a jeweled one shoulder strap and a jeweled side piece. Overall simple and elegant. Comes in purple peony, burnt canary, canary and island blue.

This dress is very fashion-forward and utilizes lots of really nice dress styles. It has the nice black and white color scheme with a one shoulder strap that has a little flower/ruffle design. There is a fitted waist and a high low hem with lots of ruffles on the bottom of the dress.

This is a really fun dress because of the polka dots and the giant bow on the back. It isn't a really big poofy dress, but it's not too simple. The colors are nice and it's different from most prom dresses. The website I'm using says it comes in green and purple, but the picture is blue, so I'm sure if you want a different color, they have those on other websites.

This dress is so pretty because I think the colors are just fabulous. This dress has a sweetheart neckline, a fitted top with ruching, lots and lots of beading around the dress and a really full flowing skirt. I really like this dress because it's really vibrant and colorful and the flowing bottom is pretty.

I like this dress because it shows that you don't have to show skin and look trashy to look sexy. The dress also gives off a really vintage feel. It comes in a nice pink color with a nice pink floral-ish print over the skirt. It also comes with a matching bolero, so you can decide whether or not to wear it.

This is the second Tony Bowls dress and I chose it because I love the multiple tiers in the skirt. The dress comes in black/white or pink/white and features a sweetheart neckline and a fitted top. It looks very Cinderella and the organza is just stunning.

This short dress from Sherri Hill has an amazing silk rose print design. There is a corset bodice which is frosted with Swarovsky rhinestones and a explosive pink, tulle, party skirt. I love the rose print and the dress is just a really cute party dress. The pink makes it really feminine.

This is a pretty simple, cute short dress from Clarisse. It has a sweetheart neckline and a polka dot metallic skirt. There is a little beaded design in the center of the dress and it comes in green/gold and white/gold. The colors are elegant and simple and the dress is gorgeous.

This electrifying blue leopard print dress is really cool. It has a sweetheart embellished top and a tulle ballgown skirt. There is also a black sash and a really pretty big bow in the back in the same print. This is a really unique and different dress if you want to stand out at prom. It's really edgy and modern.

So, this dress is probably my favorite out of all the ones so far. It has a short front bubble skirt and a long back skirt with leopard print lining. There is an embellished bodice and it comes in a light pink. This is another very unique and different dress that will get all the attention at prom. Once again, very edgy, modern, and very stunning.



My opinion~
Ok, so obviously, I'm not a girl, but I think I know enough to have an educated opinion. Mermaid dresses aren't my favorite types of dress because I don't really like the way they look on a body. Some of them can be cute, but I don't really like many of them. Long dresses are probably the staple of proms. Just make sure it's not terribly long because once you get on the dancefloor, that can lead to a disaster with people stepping on it and having the dress getting caught in places. Cinderella dresses are probably the ones I would get if I was a girl because it's prom and you want to feel like a princess and all. The only problem again is that once you get to the dancefloor, it could end up getting ugly. Short dresses eliminate those problems, but they don't really scream prom to me. It's more of a party dress or something that you would wear to any other event. I love the leopard print dresses because they're so fashion forward and modern. Something definitely worth looking into.
